UAL School of Pre-degree Studies
The UAL School of Pre-Degree Studies brings together all of our pre-degree courses in 1 unified space. You’ll have the chance to meet other pre-degree students from across the world as you develop the skills, experience and portfolio required for further study and employment.
Based at our Lime Grove building in West London, this vibrant new pre-degree community is an ideal place to discover your creative practice. You’ll be taught by inspiring teachers, academics and technicians from across our 6 Colleges.

- Equipment Loan Store.
- Library.
- Printmaking workshops: screen, intaglio, relief, mono printing and riso.
- Social spaces: student lounge, kitchen, cafeteria.
- Stitch assembly facilities: garment and product assembly, pattern cutting, styling.
- Textile workshops: stitch, knit, weave and sublimation print
- 3D digital fabrication facilities: 3D printing, laser cutting, 3D scanning.
- 3D fabrication facilities: wood, metal, clay, plaster, vac forming and plastics.
About the site
The UAL School of Pre-degree Studies is housed in a beautiful heritage-listed building in Shepherd’s Bush, London. The site has provided creative education and technical skills to young people for over a century.
