Zbrush for Designers Short Course

Course description

ZBrush is a digital sculpting tool that combines 3D and 2D modelling, including texturing and painting, that is widely used in a number of industries ranging from animation to furniture design.

This course will cover many aspects of the ZBrush software, with the main focus being on sculpting.

Students can expect to learnt about a wide range of topics including Shadow Box, ZSpheres, ZModeller, Hard Surface Modelling, Organic Sculpting, Displacement Maps, UV Master, ZRemesher, Polypainting and more.

This course does not require any prior knowledge of the software and is suitable for absolute beginners, 2D to 3D converts, designers (architecture, jewellery, furniture, fashion etc), artists, clay-to-digital converts, animators, games artists, digital and visual effects artists, 3D printers and more.

Entry requirements: a basic understanding of computers would be helpful

Level: Beginners with an interest in digital and physical arts

Please note: this course is for students aged 18 and older

This course will include:

  • Our tutors will explain things in easy to understand, accessible English. If they need to use any special terminology they will make sure they explain what they mean.

  • Sketches and reference material (photos etc) of 3D objects that interest you
  • A wacom tablet, if you have one, would be extremely beneficial
